Bambu is a young company, of approximately 5 years old, with a team of professionals with more than 30 years of experience, offering services related to the Oil & Gas industry with emphasis on drilling and maintenance of offshore wells.
The company has an integrated experience, which comprises the construction management and operation and maintenance of drilling rigs.
Our main fields of expertise are operating and maintenance services to offshore units. Bambu currently manages SS Pantanal drilling rig, owned by the Chinese group ICBC. Therefore, Bambu presents itself as a qualified alternative when it comes to drilling services in Brazil and abroad.
Bambu also offers commercial representation services for companies not established in Brazil, by promoting their goods and services to the local industry, as well as commercial follow-up with the customers.

Carlos Soares has over 30 years of experience in operation and maintenance of drilling (O&G) equipment, holding important positions in the technical and management departments of companies like Montreal Drilling, Brasoil and Schahin Petróleo e Gás.
His international experience includes the work in countries like Libya, United States and China. He was one of the main responsible for the construction of two semi-submersible platforms in a greenfield shipyard and for the operation of six offshore drilling rigs (drilling vessel and platforms).
Soares holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ).
Gustavo Shinohara has over 20 years of experience in financial structuring, Project Finance, Structured Finance, Corporate Finance, and mergers and acquisitions, acting for companies like Grupo Macri, Sojitz, Schahin Petróleo e Gás and private equity investment funds.
He was responsible for the structuring and closing of many financings for structured projects and operations, both in the bank and in the capital markets, for the Energy and Infrastructure segments. He structured the first Project Bond (US$ 270 million – Deal of The Year – 2010 for Euromoney) in Latam O&G, issued in the American and European capital markets, in addition to the first Sale-Leaseback transaction (US$ 1,08 billion) in Latam O&G and to other transactions exceeding US$ 3 billion.
Shinohara holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of São Paulo (USP).
José Miguel de Oliveira has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources management in the Oil & Gas industry.
He is highly experienced in the design and implementation of organizational structures, human resources policies, trade union negotiations and coaching.
Oliveira holds a degree in Business Administration from the Ibirapuera University, and an MBA degree in Business Management from Getúlio Vargas Foundation.
Rodrigo Lopes has over 30 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, especially in the drilling sector.
As the CEO of Schahin Petróleo e Gás, he was responsible for all actions relating to the development of the building and operational projects for four drillships and two semi-submersible platforms. Moreover, he has worked in the OSX and Sete Brasil companies.
He also served as vice-president of ABRAPET – Brazilian Association of Oil Drillers.
Lopes holds a degree in Economics from PUC-RJ, MBA degrees in Finance from PUC-RJ, Finance from IBMEC-SP, and MBA with emphasis in Oil and Gas Activities from COPPE – UFRJ.
